Urological & Robotic Surgeon

Dr Mark Liu is a urological surgeon skilled in the management of a broad range of urological conditions. He is a fully qualified specialist urologist with subspecialty fellowship training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery and urological cancers.

After graduating from the University of New South Wales, he commenced surgical training in the field of urology and subsequently became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. During this period, he completed the Master of Surgery degree at the University of Sydney. He then furthered his training in urological cancer surgery at the world-renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London, the world’s first cancer hospital and one of Europe’s largest cancer centres.

More recently, he was a recipient of the Australian Urological Foundation traveling grant and was selected to complete a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the Wake Forest University (North Carolina USA), one of the top academic institutions in North America and home to one of 51 NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centres in the United States. Whilst at Wake Forest, in addition to been mentored by world-classed leaders and pioneers in the field of minimally invasive surgery, he became a member of the Faculty and was active in the training and education of resident surgeons.

Over the years, Mark has made significant academic contributions with many indexed publications, national and international presentations to his credit. He is currently a senior clinical lecturer at the Macquarie University, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences. He is also a proctor in robotic surgery.

Mark believes in providing precise, personalised and compassionate care to his patients utilising the latest technologies and techniques.

He is a consultant urologist at the Macquarie University Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital. He holds a public appointment at the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.
